The body of Delois Barrett Campbell will lie in state at Trinity Untied Church of Christ on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 from 12 noon until 7:00 p.m. At 7:00 p.m. a gospel music celebration will take place in the main sanctuary of Trinity United Church of Christ. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Both services will be streamed via the church’s website, www.tucc.org
Barrett Campbell begin her career as a lead singer in the Roberta Martin Singers before forming a group with her sisters Billie and Rodessa. The Barrett Sisters recorded a number of albums for the Savoy, Nashboro/Creed and I AM record labels. They were featured in the critically acclaimed documentary Say Amen Somebody alongside Thomas Dorsey, Sallie Martin, Willie Mae Ford Smith, the Oneal Twins and Zella Jackson Price.

it was a pleasure meeting the barrett sisters in madison, wisconsin. it was an awesome pleasure having my young children meet the barrett sisters later in gary, indiana. i grew up listening to their music. i am glad i saw the latest doumentary on them before sis. delois passed away. their music will always be appreiated and used. may God continue to bless the family.
I missed the streaming video of the homegoing; when will they show it again.i cant believe shes gone.
