Dr. LouDella Evans Reid Continues To Set The Standard

If there is anything Dr. LouDella Evans Reid wants you to remember, its this: as long as there is a church, there will be a place for Sunday morning choir music.  Reid, a founding member and four decades plLERinflightus music minister of Chicago’s historic Fellowship Baptist Church celebrated the pre-release of Count It All Joy, a new collection of songs from her Traditional Gospel Choir during the 90/85 birthday celebration festivities that honored both her and her brother, the Reverend Clay Evans.

He Touched Me, a lively remake of the Thurston Frazier composition serves as the radio single and is garnering praise along with rave reviews from around the country. Dr. LouDella Evans Reid and the Traditional Gospel Choir were a highlight of the National Baptist Convention Christian Education Conference in June and will make an appearance at GMWA during July.

Jonathan McReynolds Gives a Second Helping of Life Music

Mcreynolds Life MusicEver since the electrifying performance of the hit Pressure on this year’s Stellar Awards, fans have been waiting with great anticipation for the new album from Jonathan McReynolds.  We are pleased to report that McReynolds sophomore effort, Life Music: Stage Two will hit stores and digital outlets on September 18th.

McReynolds states, “I wrote my first album as a college student. This second album, as a college teacher. My life has changed – different pressures, more revelation, more musical ideas. The one thing that hasn’t: my approach to songwriting. Still aiming to be transparent and genuine. Message first.”

With notable performances at the Stellars, BET Celebration of Gospel, the Essence Music Festival and the BET Music Matters showcase, McReynolds continues to tour in support of the upcoming CD release with stops in Washington DC, Tampa, Baltimore, Mobile AL, Boston, New York and overseas.

Israel and New Breed Release Covered July 24th

Under those sentiments, internationally renown worship leader Israel Houghton and his group New Breed embarked upon a courageous effort to “go ye into all the world” taking the Gospel to the east hosting worship experiences at concerts in Jakarta, Indonesia, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Korea, Tokyo and Manila, with the end result being his new CD, Covered: Alive in Asia hitting stores on July 24th.

The project celebrates 15 years of Israel and New Breed and their tenth album together.  With production from Aaron Lindsey, Covered: Live In Asia also features a concert DVD with behind the scenes footage in a special edition CD/DVD package.

 

Pastor Charles Jenkins Rejoices With Radio Show

CharlesTaraJenkinsGrammy winner and Billboard chart topping singer/songwriter and recording artist Pastor Charles Jenkins is moving into radio with the launch of Inspired People Radio, a 2 hour music and infotainment show on Rejoice Musical Soulfood network.  Jenkins, who serves as pastor of Chicago’s Fellowship Baptist Church will make the show of family affair by having his wife, Dr. Tara join him as co-host.  Pastor Jenkins and Fellowship Chicago is riding the airwaves with War,  the single from their Any Given Sunday CD in the top ten on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs chart.

“My wife Dr. Tara and I are so grateful to Mike Chandler for the opportunity to join the Rejoice Musical Soul Food Family with our new radio show,” Jenkins noted. “Inspired People Radio is a combination of everything inspiring, fun, empowering and uplifting.
