While Cinque Cullar may have altered his look since we last saw him, we can rest assured that the worship remains intact. The Chicago based worship leader is preparing for the release of Life and Worship, the follow up to his debut Letters to God that produced the singles Continual Praise and Let the Glory of the Lord.
.
“I had some reservations about doing a live CD,” said Cullar. “Letters to God was released almost three years ago, and I hadn’t given much thought to doing a new project, let alone a live CD. I then thought, wait, I lead people in worship almost every Sunday of the year. I can do this. I had a Philippians 4:13 and Zechariah 4:6 moment. Standing in God’s ability and not my own power gave me what I needed to honor God and do my part.” Cinque is also proud to say that God served as executive producer of the project. “It was a God thing, from start to finish. The Lord opened the doors for us to go to Sweden, and when I tell you God ALWAYS has a witness, believe it. The people came with open hearts and minds and great expectations; we had a very meaningful encounter. What you will hear is worship, unrestrained, free flowing and all that.
A radio single, Believer’s Declaration is making the rounds at radio as Cullar prepares to celebrate the CD Release with a concert in Chicago on November 14th.

Sunday Best Season 5 Fan Favorite Ashford Sanders makes his fans happy with the release of more music from his forthcoming CD via a collection entitled My Sunday Best, featuring covers of Millions and Make Me Better, two songs he popularized while on the hit BET gospel music competition.
Sanders offered this explanation, “everywhere I go (to perform), someone asks for either Millions or Make Me Better or both. I believe in giving people what they want, so NOW you have new music from Ashford Sanders with my first single, Because You’ve Been Good written by Pharis Evans, Jr. that we released earlier in the year, and then there is the stuff that people know and love Ashford Sanders for in the My Sunday Best pack.
While Sanders continues to tour across the country, the My Sunday Best singles are available from Fountain of Life Records for digital download on Amazon and iTunes, and Sanders tells us to look for the release of his full project come the beginning of 2016.

GOSPELflava had a chance to catch up with RCA Inspiration recording artist Travis Greene and talk with him about the release of his new CD The Hill which hits digital outlets and retail stores on October 30th.
Travis, you have such an awesome testimony, can you share it once again
Sure, I fell four floors out of a window when I was four and was pronounced dead. My mother rushed to me, cradled me in her arms and called on the name of Jesus three times and nothing happened. When she said, “the blood of Jesus”, I came back. I was rushed to the hospital and the doctors performed the tests to check me out to see if I was ok. I wanted to tell my mother what happened to me, but the doctors said remembering would be a traumatic experience. I told my mom that when I fell, I met a man who asked me if I wanted to go with him or if I wanted to go with my mom, I told him I wanted to go with my mom. When I asked him his name, he told me He was Jesus. The Lord gave me my life back because He knew of the work that I had to do for him, and here I am. I am destined to be here to serve God and minister to the needs of people.

GOSPELflava got a chance to speak with the innovatively unique trendsetter, Professor James Hall, whose new disc WAP New Era drops on October 30th.
Hall spoke candidly about the choir’s 28 years and his experiences working on the new project.
Professor, tell us about the new CD
Our new CD WAP (Worship and Praise) New Era hits retail and digital outlets on October 30th, I know there are a lot of people who want to know why I gave it that title. It is a new era for us; Worship and Praise has been together for 28 years, and with that being said, I don’t have a lot of the faces that were there 28 years ago, a lot of people have retired or got too old to be doing all the travel and being on the road, but I am grateful to God that I do still have a good amount of people that have been with me for over 20 years. There’s a lot of new faces in the group, but the sound is still Worship and Praise. (more…)

GOSPELflava joins others across the world remembering the life of Apostle Richard D. Henton, founding pastor of Chicago’s Monument of Faith Eva
ngelistic Church. Pastor Henton epitomized the pentecostal experience with his fiery style of preaching and exuberant worship. His outreach was expanded through the many revivals and crusades he conducted across the country and lives were impacted through his television and radio outreach ministry, the Breakthrough Hour.
Pastor Henton welcomed many preachers and singers to his church including Pastor Shirley Caesar, Pastor Marvin Winans, Babbie Mason, Bishop Rance Allen, Pastor Beverly Crawford and Bishop Ernestine Cleveland Reems. Pastor Henton recorded several preaching albums accompanied by his 100 voice Breakthrough Choir. The Breakthrough Choir was also featured on recordings with Vernard Johnson and counted Keith Pringle and Ricky Dillard as members.

Its new music from JJ Hairston and Youthful Praise as Great and Mighty God hits digital platforms October 9th. Hairston said of the song’s origins “I wanted to show our diversity. This song has a Pop music flavor but its still the message of Jesus and the vocals are soulful.”
Great and Mighty God brings back the magic of RCA Inspiration recording artist Deon Kipping alongside Youthful Praise. Kipping and Hairston wrote YP’s hit Incredible God, Incredible Praise some 10 years ago. The reunion will definitely resonate with YP fans and gospel music lovers alike.
