Motown Gospel Celebrates Grammy Nominations For Tasha Cobbs and Brian Courtney Wilson

BCourtneyWilsonMotown Gospel celebrates Grammy nominations for Tasha Cobbs and Brian Courtney Wilson.

Tasha Cobbs took home a Grammy statue for her stirring performance of Break Every Chain from her debut project in 2014. One Place Live was released in August, and made its debut at #1 on the Billboard chart.  Cobbs took home a Dove Award as the 2015 Gospel Artist of the Year and is currently on tour with Kierra Sheard and William Murphy.

Brian Courtney Wilson delivered Worth Fighting For as his first project for the Motown Gospel label at the top of 2015, produced by Aaron Lindsey.  Worth Fighting For made its debut at the top of the radio charts and the album earned a Dove Award for Best Traditional Gospel Album. The holiday disc features the music of Livre’, Anaysha, Brandy, Alicia Keys and Tyrese.

LIVRE’ is reaping the blessings of their gift making room for them, enjoying three singles in the top 20 on the Billboard charts, “I Will Be Alright,” “Amazing” and their most recent release “Everything’s Coming Up Jesus.” Their album, Jericho is scheduled for a Spring 2016 release.

Erica Campbell Performs National Anthem For Lakers Game

Erica-Campbell-02Fresh from her performance at this year’s Soul Train Awards, Erica Campbell heads to DC to perform the national anthem  as the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Washington Wizards at the Verizon Center on December 2nd. The game will be Laker great Kobe Bryant’s last game at the Verizon Center as he announced his retirement  from basketball earlier this week.

The Grammy winning Campbell continues to tour supporting the release of her CD Help 2.0 with upcoming stops at The Potters House in Dallas, Evangel Church in Maryland and a special tv taping with Pastor Charles Jenkins at Fellowship Chicago.

 

Wardlaw Brothers Release Video for Come Through

Wardlaw BrothersThe Wardlaw Brothers announced the release of a music video for their new single, Come Through.  Come Through has been warmly received by audiences and is making its way up the charts, landing in the top 20 on Billboard’s Gospel Singles Radio Chart.

The video directed by Aaron Williams (On Angels Wings, Preaching to the Pastor, The Pastor’s Secrets, Mama I Want to Sing) uses real life scenarios to send home a message of overcoming power through God.  “Our Come Through music video depicts stories that so many people are dealing with today, and in these times, our God is an All Relevant God who is able to heal any situation that we might face,” said Tony Wardlaw.

A full album from the Wardlaw Brothers will hit stores in the spring with cameo appearances from a number of gospel artists including Fred Hammond.

Charles Jenkins Shares Holiday Spirit With Gospel Friends

On the heels of a sucJenkins 9cessful Holiday Praise Thanksgiving Tour, Inspired People recording artist Pastor Charles Jenkins heads home to host a holiday TV taping.   The night of music will be recorded and edited for rebroadcast during Christmas and New Year’s celebrations.  A Celebration of Christmas will feature Grammy award winner Erica Campbell, native Chicago son Jonathan McReynolds, Deitrick Haddon and Brian Courtney Wilson.  The Holiday Praise New Year’s Party will feature performances from Casey J, Dorinda Clark Cole, Canton Jones and Donald Lawrence and Company.
