Erica Campbell and Jonathan McReynolds Nab Billboard Award Nominations
Tuesday, April 12th, 2016Entertainment One Music celebrates its own Erica Campbell and Jonathan McReynolds for their Billboard Music Award nominations. Erica Campbell was nominated in the Top Gospel Song category for “I Luh God” (feat. Big Shizz) from her album Help 2.0, while Jonathan McReynolds’ nomination is in the Top Gospel Album category, for his sophomore album, Life Music: Stage Two.

Tyscot Records Dominates The Charts, Celebrates 4 Decades With Compilation Release
Tuesday, April 12th, 2016Its been a good year for Tyscot Records and the blessings just continue to flow. The oldest existing African American Gospel Music label began the year with a record 10 Stellar Award wins for Anthony Brown and group therAPy. The radio hit Worth from their Everyday Jesus project spent 21 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Gospel Digital sales chart. The album also received three Billboard Music Award nominations.
Newcomer Casey J continues her reign holding down the top spot on the Billboard radio charts with her current radio single I’m Yours, and internet sensation Bri (Briana) Babineaux made her Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart debut at number 1 and held on to the top spot for another week with the release of Keys To My Heart.
In honor of their 4 decades in the business, Tyscot will release “Feel Good! 40 Years of Life Changing Music,” a fifteen-track compilation featuring some of the label’s top acts past and present, in celebration of the historic recording firm’s 40th anniversary on April 29th.
Worth Fighting For Nominated For Top Song At Billboard Music Awards
Tuesday, April 12th, 2016Bryan Courtney Wilson earned his first Billboard Music Award nomination for the hit single Worth Fighting For. The song from his Billboard chart topping Gospel CD also earned him a Grammy award nomination as well as a Dove Award win. Wilson has had prominent performance opportunities on Bobby Jones Gospel, BET Celebration of Gospel, the BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards and the Stellar Awards.
Wilson will take to the stage during the Essence Music Festival on July 3rd participating in the Essence All-Star Gospel Tribute honoring The Clark Sisters.
Tye Tribbett Set To Record Live On May 6th
Tuesday, April 12th, 2016On May 6th, multiple Grammy, Dove, Stellar and Soul Train Award winner Tye Tribbett heads to Greenville, South Carolina for a live recording at The Redemption Center. The concert is free and open to the public.

Multiple Billboard Music Award Nominations for RCA Inspiration
Tuesday, April 12th, 2016RCA Inspiration continues to hold its own as a Gospel music leader with a total of 7 nominations in the gospel categories for the Billboard Music Awards. Kirk Franklin and Marvin Sapp are joined by newcomer Travis Greene as nominees for Top Gospel Artist. Kirk Franklin received three nominations across all three Gospel categories, Marvin Sapp has two nominations, and Travis Greene also received two nominations.
Bishop Marvin Sapp received a nomination in the Top Gospel Album category, for his tenth solo project You Shall Live, while Travis Greene was nominated in the Top Gospel Song category for his Grammy nominated radio single Intentional.
Three Billboard Music Nominations For Anthony Brown
Tuesday, April 12th, 2016Anthony Brown and group TherAPy continue the year of great things as the Billboard Music Awards nominations were announced today. The group received nominations for Top Gospel Album for the number one album Everyday Jesus, Top Gospel Song for the single “Worth,” and Top Gospel Artist.
It was just in March that Brown made history taking home a record ten statues during the Stellar Awards held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Everyday Jesus made its debut atop the Billboard Top Gospel albums charts and held the position for seven weeks, while Worth was number one on the radio charts for 25 weeks.
The Billboard Music Awards take place on Sunday May 22nd.
