Anthony Evans’ Real Life/Real Worship Bows At #2 On Billboard

Season 2 contestant on the ever popular NBC talent competition The Voice Anthony Evans’  Real Life/Real Worship makes its debut at #2 on the Billboard Gospel chart.  The CD also charted at #4 on the Billboard Christian Albums chart.  Real Life Real Worship

Evans leaned upon the talents of worship pioneers Martha Munizzi, her daughter Danielle Munizzi and Christian music staples Cindy Morgan and Krissy Nordhoff to assist in co-writing the music. He then partnered with up-and-coming Los Angeles producer Max Stark.

Charles Butler and Trinity Sing of Amazing Worth

DC’s best keCharles-Butlerpt secret is a secret no longer as EPM Music Group readies a new radio single from Charles Butler and Trinity.  The group backed Earnest Pugh on his 2010 #1 radio smash “Rain On Us” in addition to contributing stand out performances on Pugh’s Christmas disc.  The stage is now set for the release of their latest single, Amazing Worth.

“I’m excited that `Amazing Worth’ is our second single,” Butler says. “It simply talks about all the things that make God Amazing. God’s love is unfailing and his hand is Unchanging. Zacardi Cortez Hits Top Ten With Sophomore Project

His new CD “Reloaded Deluxe Edition” ” (World Wide Music, Inc.) debuted at #10 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart.  Over 2.6 million viewers got to witness a special performance with Cortez and Lalah Hathaway on BET’s “Celebration of Gospel” this past Sunday. The show will be rebroadcast on Thursday, April 10th and Saturday, April 12th.  Check your local listings for time and station information in your area.

Dr Bobby Jones’ Rejoice With Me Bows At #5

Dream Records Expands Roster With New Signings

Dream Records threw its hat in the GOSPEL arena with the announcement of its Dream Gospel label and the signings of Jason Wright and the Master’s Touch, Ziel and B. Chase Williams.  Dream Records BchaseWilliamswas founded in 2008 by David Hanley, lead singer of the Christian Rock band Press Play.  Dream Label Group is the home to CCM artists Aaron Bagwell and Cindy Cruse Ratcliff.

Jason Wright and The Master’s Touch will be going into the studio this summer to record their debut album on DREAM Gospel to be released July 8th. B. Chase Williams’ single is headed to radio now with a full CD release scheduled for the summer.

Bryan Andrew Wilson Headed In Right Direction By Turning Away

Bishop Bryan A WilsonIn light of societal influences and the veracity of God’s Word as recorded in 2 Timothy 3: 1-5, Bryan Andrew Wilson gets the chance to comingle preacher and singer in the proclamation of Turning Away, the new  single from his upcoming CD from Echopark/JDI Records.  The song is a poignant personal testimony of the believer’s  conscious decision to lay aside every hindrance that would cause strain in the Christian journey.   Wilson does a masterful job of delivering the message of the song with heartfelt conviction and accuracy.

Turning Away is making impact at radio and releases to digital outlets on May 6th with a full CD release slated for the month of June.

Jackie Gouche, Ten Minutes & Psalms 121

Jackie GoucheIt  took singer/songwriter and worship leader Jackie Gouche ten minutes to pen a song inspired by Psalms 121. The song would be featured on the debut project of Purpose, Pastor Beverly Bam Crawford’s church choir.   But that was just the beginning.    The song would become a staple for Pastor Donnie McClurkin as he sang it during his many concerts in additon to being recorded by Ron Winans and CeCe Winans for his Family and Friends series and by Carol Cymbala and the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir.  Today, My Help is a classic and is sung in churches across America and around the globe.

As for Jackie Gouche, you can find her doing what she does best leading worship at Bible Enrichment Fellowship Church International each week.  Gouche  has authored two books; one being her autobiography and the other a book on true worship.  Convinced that God is not through with her yet, Gouche  is preparing for the release of her solo CD Big God, Little Me.

Lisa Knowles & The Brown Singers Continue The Evolution

Lisa Knowles has proven to be a musical force to be reckoned with but doesn’t like to be categorized.  “I’ve always been labeled as one thing,” says Knowles when it comes to defining her style and place “Oh, she’sBrown Singers just a quartet singer or she’s just a churchy singer, but there are so many layers to me. I’m just showcasing what God gave me. People ask how I categorize myself and I say: I don’t know. I’m just Lisa.”

Knowles and her group, The Brown Singers are ready to make another mark with the release of their latest effort, The Evolution Continues from Zantino Kimmons’ One Voice Media label with distribution from Central South.  While the project delivers on traditional quartet, there’s a lot of musical variety in store, including a cover of LaShun Pace’s He’s Able.  All in all, its 11 tracks of undeniably great gospel music produced by Marque Walker.
