Sisterly duo Mary Mary are starting off 2012 right with a new single, the title track, from their forthcoming project “Go Get It“. They are also preparing for the premiere of their reality TV series on WE tv, which will begin airing March 29th at 10pm. Mary Mary are coming off of the heels of a successful 2011 with their “Something Big” project, ASCAP award, BET Awards, and the list goes on. WaterTower Music is set to release the soundtrack for the upcoming motion picture “Joyful Noise” on January 10th, 2012. Alcon Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures will be releasing the film. Queen Latifah, KeKe Palmer, Dolly Parton, and Jeremy Jordan will star in the movie. The soundtrack includes an original song written and performed by 2012 Grammy and Stellar Award nominated gospel artist Kirk Franklin. Award winning Gospel artist Karen Peck is also featured on the soundtrack. Five time Grammy winner Mervyn Warren produced and arranged all of the songs on the project. Warren is known for his work on motion pictures: ”Dream Girls“, “Sister Act 2“, and “The Preacher’s Wife“.
After a 14 year absence from the recording scene, the International Music Department of the Church of God in Christ returns with The St. Louis Experience Watch Me Praise Him, recorded live at the International Holy Convocation in St. Louis, Missouri. This also marks the first project released under the leadership of the IMD President, Dr. Judith Christie McAllister.
The COGIC International Mass Choir was a mainstay on the gospel charts under the late Dr. Mattie Moss Clark delivering choir music for the church for over 25 years. The last recording, He’ll Bring You Out was recorded in Detroit and stayed on the Billboard Charts for over 40 weeks.
