Pope Francis arrived in the United States for the first time yesterday. In an elaborate ceremony this morning on the White House lawn, he spoke to 15,000 invited onlookers. Gospel music was front and center as well as the St. Augustine Catholic Church choir sang Richard Smallwood’s classic “Total Praise” for the Pope.
