Ricky Dillard & New G Set To Amaze On June 10th

First, there was the amazing standing room only 25th anniversary celebration and live recording in Chicago, followed by the amazing performance as the closing act on the 2014 Stellar Awards show earlier this year.  As if that wasn’t eRicky no wordsnough, Ricky Dillard and New G continue to dominate radio with Amazing climbing the singles chart, rising to #2 in Gospel Radio.  It all leads up to June 10th, when  Ricky Dillard’s highly anticipated new live album, Amazing, will hit shelves and digital outlets everywhere.

Ricky Dillard will cross the country with a slate of upcoming appearances, bringing the Amazing live album experience to fans beginning in his native Chicago on June 7th and 8th, then to New York on June 10th, and Philadelphia on the following date with additional dates to be announced.

Mississippi Mass Choir Sets Recording Date

The Mississippi Mass Choir hasMMC December set September 20th for their 10th live recording in celebration of Gospel Music Heritage Month as well as their 25th anniversary.  All roads will lead to the Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson, Mississippi for this highly anticipated event with Stan Jones in the producer’s chair.  The choir kicked off the official 25th anniversary celebration tour in Houston with noteworthy appearances alongside Dr. Myrlie Evers Williams and Julian Bond at the NAACP celebration for Medgar Evers and the AME Zion Church Convocation.  Additional tour dates are scheduled during the fall in the midwest and the east coast.

Mississippi Mass Choir At 25: The Celebration Begins

America’s ChMMC 25oir, the Mississippi Mass Choir takes their 25th Anniversary Praise Celebration on the road this weekend.  On Friday, MMC will join the Mississippi State Conference of  the NAACP along with Dr. Myrlie Evers Williams and Julian Bond in celebration of the life and work of the late Medgar Evers in Jackson before heading to Houston for the official kick off of the year long celebration.  Soulfruit, Willie Taylor and Friends and J Shep and  Standard will take part in the Houston celebration and hosting duties will be handled by Marcus D. Wiley.

Take 6 Celebrating 25 Years With World Tour

TAKE_6_ColorThe multiple award winning acapella group Take 6 celebrates 25 years of recording and performing with a world tour beginning May 7th in New York. The year long tour will include concert performances in the US as well as overseas including Germany, England, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Japan, Australia, Norway, eastern Europe and South America.

Their self titled debut CD, released in 1988 won 2 Grammy awards and landed on Billboard’s Jazz, Contemporary Christian and Gospel charts. With 15 albums to their credit, the group comprised of Claude McKnight, Mark Kibble, Joel Kibble, Dave Thomas, Alvin Chea and Khristian Dentley have garnered a total of 10 Grammy Awards, 10 Dove Awards, a Soul Train Award, and 2 NAACP Image Awards

Mississippi Mass Choir 25th Anniversary Tour Kick Off In Houston

MMC 25Mississippi Mass Choir announced tour dates leading into their 25th Anniversary Celebration Gala and live recording. Houston’s own Pastor JD Herron and the Courageous Faith Christian Center will kick off the 25th anniversary tour on May 18th at the Holman Street Baptist Church. Additional dates and cities will be announced shortly.

Stan Jones Tapped to Produce Mississippi Mass Choir

America’s Choir, the Mississippi Mass Choir is celebrating the selection of Clarksdale, MS native son Stan Jones as producer for their 25th Anniversary Live Recording project. Stan Jones

A noted songwriter and award winning producer, Jones’ song credits include Hold On recorded by Yolanda Adams, He Has His Hands on You recorded by Marvin Sapp and All I Need recorded by Brian Courtney Wilson (which spent a record 90 + weeks on the Billboard Gospel Songs Chart) in addition to production credits for The Williams Brothers,  The Canton Spirituals and Tim Rogers.

Rehearsals are underway for a celebration of gigantic proportions as America’s Choir, the Mississippi Mass Choir prepMMCares to celebrate their 25th Anniversary with a live recording.
