Bravo Announces New Reality Show With Ben Tankard

Bravo Media announced the addition of an unpreceBTdented 17 new shows to their original programming slate, and amongst the new shows is Thicker Than Water: The Tankards.  The show follows the life of gospel jazz pioneer Ben Tankard and his family as they work through life changes and hold on to faith.

The show is produced by Sirens Media and is expected to debut in the fall.

 

Whitney Houston, Marvin Sapp and BeBe Winans Among Gospel/Inspirational Nominees at 2012 Soul Train Music Awards

Gospel A-Listers BeBe Winans, Marvin Sapp, Fred Hammond and Mary Mary round out the Best Gospel/Inspirational Category

 for the 2012 Soul Train Music Awards.  Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks are also nominated in the category for their performance of Celebrate from the movie Sparkle.  Gospel Jazz virtuoso Ben Tankard is among the nominees in the Best Contemporary Jazz Artist/Group Category.

The 2012 Soul Train Music Awards hosted by comedian and star of the TV Land Sitcom The Soul Man Cedric the Entertainer will tape on November 8th at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The two hour show will simulcast on the BET and Centric networks on Sunday, November 25th.  Check your local listings for the time.

Ben Tankard: 20 Years with a New Full Tank

Noted GospelJazz Music Pioneer Ben Tankard marks 20 years in the genre with the release of  a new project entitled Full Tank.  The new CD is his 18th solo release and features guest performances from Gerald Albright,  Take 6′s Mark Kibble, Tim Bowman and Cynthia Jones. (more…)
