Israel Houghton’s “It’s Not Over” Hits #1 on Gospel Singles Chart

With 2012 wrapping up, its evident that the saints of GOD are holding fast to the message “It’s Not Over”. Israel Houghton’s latest hit with James Fortune, and Pastor Jason Nelson from his latest release “Jesus At The Center” has hit #1 on the Gospel Singles Chart.  Israel will perform the song on the 2013 Stellar Awards in Nashville, and currently has two Grammy Nominations.

Verity Gospel Music Group Garners Much Recognition On Billboard, Itunes, & More As 2012 Comes To A Close!!

Verity Gospel Music Group has seen a great year with new releases from its top artists & sustained charting presence from  Kirk Franklin’s 2011 release “Hello Fear”. Top artists on the label include : Marvin Sapp, Kirk Franklin, Byron Cage, Fred Hammond, Jason Nelson, Deon Kipping and more. The label’s hit compilation “WOW Gospel 2012” was named as the #1 Gospel Album of the Year by Billboard. Gospel favorites Marvin Sapp, Fred Hammond, Jason Nelson, and Kirk Franklin were named among the Top 10 Gospel artists of 2012. The label’s parent company RCA Records has also been recognized for the producing the Top Gospel Album of the year and some of the Top Gospel Songs in 2012. Six of Verity Gospel Music Group’s 2012 releases were named on the Itunes Best Gospel Albums of 2012 list. Those projects included: WOW 2012, v4…The Other Side ( JMoss), God, Love & Romance ( Fred Hammond), I Just Want To Hear You (Deon Kipping), Shifting The Atmosphere (Jason Nelson),  and Memoirs Of A Worshiper (Byron Cage).

 Music lovers can look to WOW 2013 for the best compilation of 2012’s Gospel songs as well as new music from Kurt Carr, William Murphy, and Hezekiah Walker. Verity Gospel Music Group artists also received 25 Stellar Award nominations, Four Grammy nominations, and two NAACP Image Award nominations. Kierra Sheard Hits #1

Karew Records Recording Artist Kierra Sheard new album “Free” has debut at #1 on the Billboard Gospel Charts. The highly anticipated album created a buzz in the social media world even prior to its release.  The album quickly hit #1 on the iTunes Gospel Charts within minutes of its release on Tuesday and continue to climb. This live and studio album produced by J Drew Sheard is being hailed by some as Kierra’s best work to date.  The current single “Mighty” is being worked to radio, although songs like “You Are” and her rendition of “Indescribable” are #NowPlaying on many iPods. The album is very fitting and serves as a testimony to Kierra who recently graduated from College, engaged, and recently started a new magazine.

“He Wants It All” Hits #1

Congratulations goes out to family band, Forever Jones! The leading single, “He Wants It All” from their debut album, “Get Ready” has officially hit #1 on the Billboard Gospel Charts after spending over 9 weeks in the top 10 Gospel charts.  The family has been busy touring and are getting ready to release a Christmas EP which will contain an acoustic version of “He Wants It All”.

LeCrae Makes History!

Christian Rapper Lecrae has made history by having the highest Billboard Gospel and Christian Debut in his genre. His latest album “Rehab” is the follow up to his 2008 release “Rebel”“Rebel” spent over 75 weeks on the charts and this latest installment is following in the same direction. Due to the overwhelming response for the album Lecrae and Reach Records are launching a 40 City Tour. The tour will hit cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York. “All I Need” Spends 72 Weeks on Billboard

Grammy Award Nominated Producer and Songwriter Stan Jones is celebrating the success of his song “All I Need”.  “All I Need” is featured on Brian Courtney Wilson’s debut project, “Just Love”, and is celebrating 72 weeks on Billboard charts.   More than half of that time the song was featured in the Top 10 and has climbed back to #6. Brian Courtney Wilson is Music World’s Gospel’s new artist. Both Wilson and Jones both have been busy touring, writing, and producing.  Stan recently won 5 Mississippi Music Awards for his work with The Canton Spirituals.
