Damien Sneed Inks Deal With Central South, Featured In PBS Documentary

Damien directsDamien Sneed announced news of a distribution agreement with Central South for his LeChateau Earl Records label and the March 3rd release of his highly anticipated double disc Broken To Minister featuring the Levites. The CD was recorded live in Baltimore during the Church of God in Christ Auxiliaries in Ministry Convention.

The works of Sneed and his Chorale LeChateau will be featured alongside jazz great Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra in the PBS documentary Everyone Has A Place premiering in Charlotte on February 3rd and will air in selected markets across the country throughout the Spring.  The documentary was filmed at Charlotte’s Friendship Missionary Baptist Church during the 16-city national tour of the Abysinnian Mass.

Tamela Mann Earns Gold Certification

Tamela Mann can now add a RIAA plaque to her already full trophy case.  The “Take Me To The King” digital single penned and produced by Kirk63891-Tamela-Mann-original Franklin and recorded and performed by Tamela, has been RIAA Certified Gold, having sold more than 500,000 digital copies. Tillymann Music Group label head and Tamela’s manager and husband, David Mann, presented Tamela with her RIAA Certified Gold plaque during their Comedy and Concert event on Friday, August 1 at the Victoria Fine Arts Center in Victoria, Texas.

“Take Me To The King” was also recently named one of the most performed songs on Gospel radio in 2013 during BMI’s 2014 Christian Music Awards held at BMI in Nashville, Tenn.  The song featured on Tamela’s No. 1 selling 2012 album ‘Best Days’ was released to Gospel radio. The track quickly climbed to No. 1 on the Gospel radio chart where it remained for more than 25 weeks.

DeWayne Woods Teams Up With PJ Morton, Readies New CD

DewayneWoodsPromoDeWayne Woods reunites  with PJ Morton for a new radio single fronting a new CD scheduled for a fourth quarter release. Never Be The Same is Woods’ first radio single in three years.  Also announced was a distribution agreement with Central South for the release of his third CD that will feature a collaboration with Mint Condition.

“ P.J. was instrumental in creating a voice for me and he keeps helping to define that voice,” Woods says of the reunion with Morton. “We have such great chemistry like we did on `Let Go.’” The song is positioned for airplay on both Gospel and Urban AC radio formats. “The deal with Central South Distribution is the perfect marriage for Soul Therapy Music Group to make inspirational yet out-of-the-box music,” says Jordan. “And having the opportunity to work with an industry legend like Vicki Mack and a major businessman and salesman like Chuck Adams is just huge.”

Things are changing for Gospel’s Hardest Working Man.  It was announced late today that Earnest Pugh is relocating from the DC area to Houston to consult with Houston’s Silverlake Christian Church pastored by Reginald DeVaughn.

New Album, New Management New Distribution for Isaac Carree

Isaac Carree announced a partnership with Central South Distribution for the release of his sophomore project in 2013 on his Door 6 Entertainment record label. Carree also announced news of a new management arrangement with EJ Gaines.  Carree is riding the wave of the success of his debut solo project Uncommon Me in 2011.  The CD debuted at #1 on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart and has been nominated for  5 Stellar Awards.

Caree will enlist production support from Gerald and Tammi Haddon (writers of In the Middle) and Eric Dawkins on his 2013 CD.
