Dorinda Clark Cole took to social media earlier today to announce the guest lineup for The Gospel According to Dorinda, her new show debuting on The Word Network. Guests include The Clark Sisters, Bill Moss, J. Moss, Larry Clark, Bishop J. Drew Sheard, Kierra Sheard and J Drew Sheard. The show will air live on the Word Network on January 13th.

In commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Hammond Organ Company, Hammond USA initiated a Hall of Fame to honor and recognize musicians who have perpetuated and advanced the legacy of the electric organ. Among the 26 inaugural honorees are Twinkie Clark, chief musician and the driving force behind the famous Clark Sisters and the late Billy Preston, whose credits include playing with the Beatles as well as getting his start in the church recording with James Cleveland, Andrae Crouch and Mahalia Jackson. Over 100 candidates were nominated and voted on via the Hammond Organ Facebook page. A special induction ceremony and concert will be held during the 2014 Winter NAMM trade show in January.

Grammy Award winners The Clark Sisters join R&B singer, songwriter and actress Mary J Blige for a festive rendition of The First Noel, one of 12 tracks on ” A Mary Christmas”. The first holiday album from the award winning singer is produced by legendary front man David Foster and features timeless Christmas classics with a twist. The album is scheduled for an October 15th release.

Clark Sisters fans have reason to rejoice. Sources in the Clark camp confirm that the sisters are in the planning stages for the follow up to the 2007 Grammy Award Winning Live One Last Time project. Donald Lawrence announced weeks ago that he will produce Karen Clark Sheard’s next live solo project in 2013. Will he be tapped to recreate the magic again.

Dr. Judith Christie McAllister and the International Music Department of the Church of God In Christ honored Elbernita “Twinkie” Clark as a living legend during the 105th International Holy Convocation held in St. Louis, Missouri. Also during the tribute, an honorary doctorate of sacred music was conferred upon Clark by Dr. Tony Lewis and the Christian Bible Institute and Seminary (CBIS).
Twinkie prepares for the release of her first instrumental CD, Sweet Melodies. A CD release concert is scheduled for Sunday, November 11th in St. Louis.
Super Producer Donald Lawrence announced the news via his twitter page that he will once again helm the live recording for Karen Clark Sheard in 2013. Lawrence provided production for Clark Sheard’s groundbreaking debut solo CD Finally Karen in 1997 as well as her Second Chance and The Heavens are Telling projects. Karen has appeared as guest vocalist on a number of Tri City Singers projects and Lawrence also produced the Grammy award winning Clark Sisters Live: One Last Time CD in 2007
