We’ve come to know the Antioch Fellowship Church Voices of Praise because of their stellar work with Evangelist Beverly Crawford on her Billboard chart topping CD Thank You For All You’ve Done. Now the choir stands read
y to deliver with a project of their very own. Dr. Karry D. Wesley proudly presents the choir in the form of Speak To My Heart, making its debut on January 15th. “This anointed group of believers has ministered faithfully to the Antioch family of faith for years,” says Pastor Wesley “As a result of this choir’s commitment to God and His calling on their life, this project has come to fruition. Now, countless lives will be touch and transformed for the Kingdom of God through these songs, because Music ministers to the heart like none other.”
The disc features the music of Antioch Fellowship under the auspices of their minister of music Paul Jackson coupled with guest performances from Earnest Pugh, Tommye Young-West and Beverly Crawford.

One of Ohio’s biggest secrets is out! Jennifer Mekel, a native of Akron, is blazing up the gospel charts with her single Great God. Being played on stations across the country, even the Yolanda Adams Morning Show, the powerful song is currently in the Gospel Top 40. The single beautifully showcases Mekel’s silvery vocals paired with the world-renowned Boys & Girls Choir of Harlem Alumni Ensemble. “We had this phenomenal song in Great God and we needed a choir. Someone suggested the Harlem Alumni Choir and I thought it was a wonderful idea,” Mekel stated. “I was honored to have been able to collaborate with them and while it was a collaborative effort, the result is pure worship.” The single is a prelude to her forthcoming album on the POWAMM (Power Of Word And Music Ministry) record label. On her full project, Mekel will be joined by famed multi-Dove and Stellar Award nominated Earnest Pugh, Swoope, Khyrie Tyler, and H. Doobie Powell. Still the prolific singer/songwriter is taking all of this industry “buzzing” in stride saying, “I am thrilled to be using my gifts to glorify God in these times.”

Psalm 150:4 admonishes us to “praise Him with the timbrel and dance”, and Earnest Pugh has made it his business to bring life to this scripture with the July 8th release of the Top Ten Praise Breaks.
Pugh offered this explanation, “at my live recording for the “A Worshipper’s Perspective” CD in 2006 that I saw the power of God move. I literally had to ask people to take their seats because we knew the cameras were rolling and we wanted to be out of that building at a certain time but it was as though the Holy Spirit refused to leave the room. My music director looked at me and said, `Let God have his way…’ Needless to say the praise break was the highlight of the recording and set the tone for the rest of the recording. From that day forth I vowed to always pause for the cause and render a praise break.”
“This CD will give musicians and worship leaders a tool that can be used when their services shift from worship to praise or vice versa,” says EPM Music Group President Keith Williams. “The CD will showcase a variety of approaches to the praise break from the West Coast style to the East Coast vibe.”

When Earnest Pugh sings the words of scripture as found in Philippians 4:13, it takes on a special meaning for him. “When I got the call from Michael Matthews about doing the show I was blown away because it’s been eight years since I read a theater script so ( I strongly felt) my acting skills need work,” Pugh recalls. “He strongly disagreed and insisted that I join the cast of `Aint Too Proud To Beg’. It was a simple task of just laying claim to the principles of faith. Pugh made a believer out of himself and won over audiences receiving rave reviews for his performances. Pugh’s duet with Bishop Rance Allen “All Things Through Christ” (from “The W.I.N. Worship in Nassau Experience”) finds itself in the top 20 of Billboard’s Gospel Songs chart. “Now, Mike has signed me up for the Broadway-level show he’s launching in the fall. All I can say is: all things through Christ and God has been so good to me.”
