Music World Gospel/Music World Music is gearing up to release a compilation project on May 3rd in recognition of National Stroke Awareness Month. The compilation project will feature: Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Kim Burrell, Trinitee 5:7, Micah Stampley, Juanita Bynum, Myron Butler, and Brian Courtney Wilson. They are also hosting the 5th annual “Power Awards” where gospel recording artists Brian Courtney Wilson& Trinitee 5:7 will be performing. They are partnering with the American HeartAssociation and GMC (Gospel Music Channel) to host a Gospel Music competition! Look out for these great events and the compilation project in the month of May!

The event that has grown to be hailed as one of the most exclusive and powerful events in Gospel Music will air on TV this Saturday. The 12th Annual BMI Luncheon honoring Commissioned and Pastor Shirley Caesar will air on GMC February 19, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. with an encore following at 8:30. The luncheon was filled with heartfelt tributes, words of encouragement, and great memories.

GMC is set to hold the 2010 Stellar Award Nomination Ceremony live on October 23rd at 8 p.m. exclusively on GMC. The 2011 Stellar Award Nominees will be announced and there will be a concert to follow. The Stellar Awards will be held on January 15, 2011 at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN and will air nationally on GMC on Sunday March 6, 2011 at 8 p.m.
There will also be a special Stellar tribute to the holiday’s set to air in November.

The Gospel Music Association recently announced that the 2011 Dove Awards will be held on April 20, 2011 but not in Nashville, TN. The 2011 Dove Awards will be held in Atlanta, GA at the Fabulous Fox Theater. This is an interesting change as the award ceremony had been held at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville for the past few years. GMC formerly known as Gospel Music Channel which is headquartered in Atlanta, recently renewed its partnership with GMA and plans to broadcast the ceremony with the help of the city of Atlanta.
