A Grammy Win For Erica Campbell

This year’s Grammy Awards hold a special place in Erica Campbell’s heart.  Already a Grammy winner for her work with her sister Tina as Mary Mary, Erica was privileged to take home the coveted statue this year for her work on her first solo project Help.  Erica Grammy Win

God is faithful and amazing,” said Campbell after her win. “I’m just going to keep on singing like I’ve been singing.” The reception for Help continues to expand as Campbell was awarded a Soul Train Music Award in addition to receiving a record 10 nominations for this year’s Stellar Awards

Nominations for the 57th Annual Grammy Awards were announced by the Recording Academy on December 5th in Los Angeles.

NARAS Pairs Up Edwin Hawkins and Erica Campbell For Conversation

Erica NewThe Los Angeles Chapter of the Recording Academy will host a conversation with 4 time Grammy winners Edwin Hawkins and Erica Campbell on August 28th. Hawkins is regarded by many as the father of contemporary gospel music and is known for the 1969 hit Oh Happy Day with his Edwin Hawkins Singers. Campbell, one half of gospel duo Mary Mary is celebrating her 4 Dove Award nominations for Help, her debut solo CD and the release of her new radio single You Are. Help held the top spot on the Billboard Gospel Charts for seven weeks. Edwin Hawkins
Campbell is slated to perform at the October 7th Dove Awards telecast. “Feeling very blessed for every acknowledgement and every opportunity I’m given,” said Campbell. “I’m so very excited to partner with N.A.R.A.S. and interview the gospel legend Edwin Hawkins. It is going to be an amazing night.”

Tye Tribbett Presenting At Grammy Pre Telecast

Motown Gospel artist and Grammy nominee Tye Tribbett will serve as a presenter during the GRAMMY Awards Pre-Telecast Ceremony on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014.  Tribbett is up for TyeTribbettFinalCDCoverApril2013[1]3 Grammy nominations: Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Performance and Best Gospel Song for “If He Did It Before… Same God [Live],” and Best Gospel Album for Greater Than [Live].

The pre-telecast ceremony will stream live from 1 – 3:30 p.m. PT at GRAMMY.com/live and CBS.com .

Lecrae Joins Chaka Khan for Its Not Over

James Fortune Ranks #1 on Billboard’s Best of 2012 Year End List

GRAMMY Award Nominee James Fortune is ending 2012 on a high note. His latest album “Grace Gift” is in stores and climbing the chart, he’s signed a new management deal with EJ Gaines and Pathlight Music, and was recently nominated for two Grammy Awards Best Gospel Album, and Best Gospel Song.

Now James has been named as the Number 1 Gospel Artist on Billboard Magazine’s Best of 2012 Gospel Songs/Artist Year Ends List. The album “Identity” was recognized at Number 5 Best of 2012 Best Gospel Album lists and 2012 Gospel Albums/Artists. 

Next month James Fortune and Fiya are headed to the  2013 Stellar Awards where they are nominated for Group/Duo of the Year and Contemporary Group/Duo Of The Year. In 2013 expect new projects from Fortune’s label Fiya World Music Label in partnership with eOne and Light Records.
