Multiple Billboard Music Award Nominations for RCA Inspiration

Travis GreeneRCA Inspiration continues to hold its own as a Gospel music leader with a total of 7 nominations in the gospel categories for the Billboard Music Awards.  Kirk Franklin and Marvin Sapp are joined by newcomer Travis Greene as nominees for Top Gospel Artist.  Kirk Franklin received three nominations across all three Gospel categories, Marvin Sapp has two nominations, and Travis Greene also received two nominations.

Bishop Marvin Sapp received a nomination in the Top Gospel Album category, for his tenth solo project You Shall Live, while Travis Greene was nominated in the Top Gospel Song category for his Grammy nominated radio single Intentional.

RCA Inspiration Celebrates Four Grammy Nominations

Travis GreeneThe nominations for the 58th Annual Grammy Awards brought great joy to the RCA Inspiration camp.   Israel Houghton & Newbreed received nominations in the Best Gospel Album (Covered: Alive In Asia” (Deluxe) and Best Gospel Performance/Song (“How Awesome Is Our God” featuring Yolanda Adams) categories. Multiple GRAMMY winner Kirk Franklin and newcomer  Travis Greene are recognized in the Best Gospel Performance/Song category for “Wanna Be Happy?” and “Intentional”.

“We’re extremely proud of our GRAMMY nominees,” said RCA Inspiration’s General Manager, Geo Bivins.  “There’s a lot of great gospel music that came out this year and we congratulate Kirk, Israel and Travis on this very special achievement.”

Travis Greene 2GOSPELflava had a chance to catch up with RCA Inspiration recording artist Travis Greene and talk with him about the release of his new CD The Hill which hits digital outlets and retail stores on October 30th.

Travis, you have such an awesome testimony, can you share it once again

Sure, I fell four floors out of a window when I was four and was pronounced dead.  My mother rushed to me, cradled me in her arms and called on the name of Jesus three times and nothing happened.  When she said, “the blood of Jesus”, I came back.  I was rushed to the hospital and the doctors performed the  tests to check me out to see if I was ok.  I wanted to tell my mother what happened to me, but the doctors said remembering would be a traumatic experience.  I told my mom that when I fell, I met a man who asked me if I wanted to go with him or if I wanted to go with my mom, I told him I wanted to go with my mom.  When I asked him his name, he told me He was Jesus.  The Lord gave me my life back because He knew of the work that I had to do for him, and here I am. I am destined to be here to serve God and minister to the needs of people.

Travis Greene Takes Us To The Hill October 30th

Travis Greene_The Hill_album coverTravis Greene burst on the scene captivating audiences with the release of his single Intentional.  Now fans are readying for the release of The Hill,  his highly anticipated major label debut on RCA Inspiration.  Recorded live in Charlotte, the disc features a wide array of music penned by Greene ranging from CCM to Reggae and Gospel.

Greene continues to make appearances in support of the CD including stops in the US as well as a trip overseas.  The Hill hits stores and digital outlets on Friday, October 30th.

 

Travis Greene Shows His Intentionality

With high profile performances at Bishop TD Jakes’ Megafest and the BET All Star Sunday Best Finale, its no wonder that Travis Greene’s single Intentional would hit #1 on the Travis GreeneMediabase Gospel Singles Chart. Greene also made his way to Chicago last weekend to appear alongside Jonathan McReynolds at his birthday/CD release event.  Needless to say, his personal testimony and music ministry left the audience in awe.

“I’m thrilled at the success of this single,” said  Greene.  “It is a dream come true.  I just want to encourage the body of Christ and the world to know that everything God allows to happen is on purpose.”

While the EP is available on all digital retail outlets now, a full CD from Greene  entitled The Hill makes its way to stores and digital outlets on October 30th.
