After closing out the first day with a rousing performance at the Chicago Gospel Music Festival, the Chicago Mass Choir announces the release of I Give You Praise, the second single from thei
r Billboard charting disc We Give You Praise.
Ken Harding, President of New Haven Records offered words of adulation, “This may be the best album in Chicago Mass Choir’s 25 year history. The first single, “Thank You Thank You Jesus,” helped the CD debut at the #1 spot on Amazon Best Seller’s Gospel Praise and Worship Chart and #11 on the Amazon Gospel Music Best Seller’s Sales Chart. We’re particularly excited about the future of the new single, “I Give You Praise Lord,” because it’s the kind of worship song that can find its way into churches all across America…and the world!”

Chicago, the Gospel music capitol of the world celebrates Gospel music in a big way as it gets in gear for the 31st annual Chicago Gospel Music Festival taking place in downtown Chicago at Millennium Park June 3rd and 4th. Among the headliners for this year’s fest are Grammy Award winners Bishop Hezekiah Walker and Pastor Shirley Caesar, Grammy nominees Travis Greene and Bryan Courtney Wilson as well as William Murphy and local Chicago favorites Chicago Mass Choir, Kenny Lewis and One Voice, The James and more.
The Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events will also hosts several Gospel music events around the country including a conversation with Entertainment One VP Phil Thornton and recording artist Lalah Hathaway hosted by Michelle Williams on May 18th and a special Gospel music presentation on July 25th in Millennium Park featuring the Jones Family Singers and the Apostolic Church of God choir.

The Chicago Mass Choir stands on a proud legacy of music from the authentic Chicago experience and continues a proud heritage with the release of We Give You Praise, its 16th album on New Haven Records. We Give You Praise sets the praises in motion, taking its cues from the infectious radio single, Thank You, Thank You Jesus.

New Haven Records President Ken Harding announced the re-signing of the legendary Chicago Mass Choir as plans are being finalized for the release of the choir’s 16th recording celebrating 25 years of chart topping hits.
CMC President and CEO Dr. Feranda Williamson shared these sentiments, “God’s faithfulness has been poured out on Chicago Mass Choir for the past 25 years. His blessings and favor culminate in this new CD, which we pray will bless and encourage people around the world!”
Longtime producer Percy Gray was in agreement: “This project is filled with traditional worship and praise songs for the choir. Get it for your Sunday church service—it’ll really bless you!”

After 10 years, the nationally acclaimed Chicago Mass Choir will return to their hometown of Chicago to record their 16th live project on Saturday, May 3rd. The Grammy, Dove and Stellar Award nominated choir known for such hits as “I Can Go to The Rock”, “He That Believeth”, “Holy Ghost Power”, “You Love Me”, “Jesus Promised” and “Mighty Good God” has carried the gospel across the country and abroad.
Chicago Mass Choir President Dr. Feranda Williamson expressed her excitement about their 16th Live Recording: “God has truly shown favor over Chicago Mass Choir by allowing us to minister both throughout the United States and abroad for over 23 years! We are blessed to continue to be one of the top recording choirs in the nation and truly are humbled that our music continues to be played on gospel radio stations, the internet and other media. On any given Sunday, there is a church choir or group that sings the music recorded by Chicago Mass Choir. Chicago Mass Choir heads to Trinity Music City Auditorium in Hendersonville, Tennessee (home of the Trinity Broadcasting Network’s (TBN) Nashville Studios) for their 15th CD/DVD and International Television taping on Saturday, October 30th. CMC has dominated the gospel scene since 1991 with chart topping hits including I Can Go to the Rock, Nobody Like Jesus, Holy Ghost Power, Take Over Lord, He That Believeth and My Everything and featuring unforgettable leads from the likes of Pam Crawford, Reverend Phillip Sneed, Evangelist Lemmie Battles and their inimitable choir master Percy Gray .
