Tyscot Records Reissues Inner City Mass Choir Debut Project

Inner City Mass Choir HeavenTyscot Records takes us back to the heyday of choirs with the digital reissue of Heaven, the debut project of John P. Kee’s Inner City Mass Choir.  Originally released in 1996, Kee was adjusting to his new role as pastor in North Carolina and introduced the group as the extension of an outreach initiative of his church.  The disc yielded great radio songs including  “God of Mercy” (aka Rain on Us) and “Where the Spirit of the Lord Is.”

Earnest Pugh Returns To DC For Special Honor From Howard University

Earnest Pugh will receive a special Alumni Award for the Arts during the 3rd Annual Howard University School of Divinity Alumni Association Awards EarnestPughBanquet on April 26th.

Pugh will start the day sharing music ministry at the Ebenezer AME Church in Fort Washington where he served as part of the music team during his stay in the DMV followed by the awards banquet and a concert at Howard University’s Blackburn Center.  Pugh will also celebrate the 30th Pastoral anniversary of Pastor Robert G Childs, Howard University School of Divinity Professor at the Berean Baptist Church.

 

Charles Butler and Trinity Sing of Amazing Worth

DC’s best keCharles-Butlerpt secret is a secret no longer as EPM Music Group readies a new radio single from Charles Butler and Trinity.  The group backed Earnest Pugh on his 2010 #1 radio smash “Rain On Us” in addition to contributing stand out performances on Pugh’s Christmas disc.  The stage is now set for the release of their latest single, Amazing Worth.

“I’m excited that `Amazing Worth’ is our second single,” Butler says. “It simply talks about all the things that make God Amazing. God’s love is unfailing and his hand is Unchanging. I want people to hear this song and reflect on God’s love and his Amazing love towards us.” Look for the single available digitally on April 15th and a physical release of their CD Better on June 24th.
