GOSPELflava.com is wishing you and yours a Very Happy Thanksgiving! We recently caught up with some of today’s hottest Gospel artists to find out what they are thankful for, some music that they enjoy during this time, and some of the holiday traditions observed in their families. I’m sure that many of us will find that they are similar to our own traditions. Our prayer is that this is inspirational and will continue to help us all think about how blessed we are.
If Rance Allen wasn’t a preacher/singer/pastor, I think he would be a wonderful comedian. When asked about his favorite songs from The Live Experience project, he said without hesitation Holy One and his reasons were clear. He responded, “this was my chance to do a real worship song, because no one usually calls me to lead Praise and Worship they want me to pick em up with Make Me Wanna Dance and rock and sock with Miracle Worker and Something about the name of Jesus. This is the song I would do if I was the Praise and Worship leader. With assistance from The Rance Allen Group and new group Called II Worship, WORSHIP LEADERS TAKE NOTE: the results are effective. AND the DVD gives us a tad bit more than what you find on the CD. I think I’ll invite him to lead worship at my church real soon, and he can sing whatever he wants FIRST, then I’ll give him my list.
Allow me to say that 2010 was a year of exciting releases. Some we heard, some we missed, some we liked and plainly some we didn’t want to hear. The Lowell Pye “Finally” project was one of the exceptions, it was good and memorable (although I am not sure if it got its just recognition). So, let me point you to a few words of commentary…… (album review)
….and because I knew there would be people who didn’t believe me, I brought a clip.
