Multiple Billboard Music Award Nominations for RCA Inspiration

Travis GreeneRCA Inspiration continues to hold its own as a Gospel music leader with a total of 7 nominations in the gospel categories for the Billboard Music Awards.  Kirk Franklin and Marvin Sapp are joined by newcomer Travis Greene as nominees for Top Gospel Artist.  Kirk Franklin received three nominations across all three Gospel categories, Marvin Sapp has two nominations, and Travis Greene also received two nominations.

Bishop Marvin Sapp received a nomination in the Top Gospel Album category, for his tenth solo project You Shall Live, while Travis Greene was nominated in the Top Gospel Song category for his Grammy nominated radio single Intentional.

Kirk Franklin’s 20 Years In One Night Tour Summer Dates Announced

kirk-franklinKirk Franklin’s celebration of 20 years of music gets it second wind as the multiple award winning artist announced dates for the summer beginning on June 3rd in Augusta, Georgia.  Twelve additional cities were added to the tour with tickets going on sale on April 1st.

The Glory Album Hits Billboard R & B Chart

The Ohio based writer/singer and producer continues to amaze and wow audiences with stellar performances this month including opening for the BET Honors awards show and being named among ESPN’s Music Artists of The Month.

William Murphy Releases New Single Arise

Arise (You Are Good) William MurphyBishop William Murphy wowed audiences at the Stellar Awards Pre Show with the debut of his new single Arise (You Are Good).  Arise serves as the front single from the EP hitting digital outlets on March 25th.

The Arise EP  is the followup to Murphy’s 2013 Godchaser release that featured the smash hit Its Working.  Arise makes an offering of  3 songs giving fans a taste of music from Murphy’s upcoming full project, Demonstrate that was recorded live last May in Douglasville, GA.

Bishop Murphy says,” God’s given me something fresh to say, and I believe it’s going to help us consistently encounter His Presence. I look forward to sharing this song and I pray it will be a blessing to all.”

RCA Inspiration Racks Up 2 Grammy Awards

Kirkfranklin1RCA Inspiration did the happy dance when the envelopes were opened at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards on Monday, February 15th as they took home Grammy statues in two categories.  Kirk Franklin received his 10th Grammy for Best Gospel Performance/Song for his hit single “Wanna Be Happy?” and Israel Houghton was awarded his 6th Grammy in the category of Best Gospel Album for Covered: Alive In Asia.

“We are very proud of Kirk and Israel and their honors from The Recording Academy at this year’s GRAMMY® Awards,” said Geo Bivins, General Manager of RCA Inspiration. “We congratulate the innovating and inspiring work that they have done and continue to do.”

Victory served as the first single and was released last year.  A follow up single, By Myself is headed to radio this week.

Kipping says, “I am so grateful for all the love and support that I have received for my single ‘Place Called Victory’ thus far, life has the tendency to take you through painful circumstances and unwanted changes.  Fortunately none of these places are our final destination.  This song reminds us that we were created to live in victory.  I am excited for everyone to hear ‘By Myself.’ At times many of us try to handles our issues on our own and most times our way never works. RCA Inspiration Celebrates Four Grammy Nominations

Travis GreeneThe nominations for the 58th Annual Grammy Awards brought great joy to the RCA Inspiration camp.   Israel Houghton & Newbreed received nominations in the Best Gospel Album (Covered: Alive In Asia” (Deluxe) and Best Gospel Performance/Song (“How Awesome Is Our God” featuring Yolanda Adams) categories. Multiple GRAMMY winner Kirk Franklin and newcomer  Travis Greene are recognized in the Best Gospel Performance/Song category for “Wanna Be Happy?” and “Intentional”.

“We’re extremely proud of our GRAMMY nominees,” said RCA Inspiration’s General Manager, Geo Bivins.  “There’s a lot of great gospel music that came out this year and we congratulate Kirk, Israel and Travis on this very special achievement.”
