RCA Records Announce Label Deal With Kirk Franklin

RCA Records announced a long term label deal with Kirk Franklin’s inspirational music label Fo Yo Soul Recordings.  Kirk and his team will sign and develop talent while RCA will handle Kirk+Franklin+pngmarketing, promotion and distribution for the label.  Fo Yo Soul will also be the label home for Kirk Franklin future projects.

“We are thrilled to be Kirk’s partner. He is a one of a kind artist and music executive who brings his unique insight to inspirational music. We look forward to welcoming the new talent he will bring to the roster,” states Tom Corson, President & COO RCA Records.

The label’s first release will be the highly anticipated project from The Walls Group, who debuted their new single Perfect People on the season finale of the BET Gospel Music competition show Sunday Best.  Franklin has hosted Sunday Best for the past six seasons and serves as executive producer for the show.  In addition to the Walls Group, Fo Yo Soul will release the debut album from Tasha Page Lockhart, winner of this year’s Sunday Best competition in the Spring of 2014.

Verity Gospel Music Group Garners Much Recognition On Billboard, Itunes, & More As 2012 Comes To A Close!!

Verity Gospel Music Group has seen a great year with new releases from its top artists & sustained charting presence from  Kirk Franklin’s 2011 release “Hello Fear”. Top artists on the label include : Marvin Sapp, Kirk Franklin, Byron Cage, Fred Hammond, Jason Nelson, Deon Kipping and more. The label’s hit compilation “WOW Gospel 2012” was named as the #1 Gospel Album of the Year by Billboard. Gospel favorites Marvin Sapp, Fred Hammond, Jason Nelson, and Kirk Franklin were named among the Top 10 Gospel artists of 2012. The label’s parent company RCA Records has also been recognized for the producing the Top Gospel Album of the year and some of the Top Gospel Songs in 2012. Six of Verity Gospel Music Group’s 2012 releases were named on the Itunes Best Gospel Albums of 2012 list. Those projects included: WOW 2012, v4…The Other Side ( JMoss), God, Love & Romance ( Fred Hammond), I Just Want To Hear You (Deon Kipping), Shifting The Atmosphere (Jason Nelson),  and Memoirs Of A Worshiper (Byron Cage).

 Music lovers can look to WOW 2013 for the best compilation of 2012’s Gospel songs as well as new music from Kurt Carr, William Murphy, and Hezekiah Walker. Verity Gospel Music Group artists also received 25 Stellar Award nominations, Four Grammy nominations, and two NAACP Image Award nominations. Tye Tribbett and Mali Music Mixtape in 2013

Fresh off his performance at the BET Music Matters Showcase, Mali Music was doing a photo shoot and gearing up for his big announcement (Hello, RCA Records).  In the meantime, Tye Tribett went to twitter to announce to fans to look for a Tye and Mali mixtape coming soon.  This sent fans of both into a delirium of joy.  So 2013 is going to be the year of release, new projects from Mali Music and Tye Tribbett, both separate and together (You will remember that Mali has been in the studio  working on a new project while Tye recorded Greater Than Live back in August).    Stay tuned, Gospel Music lovers, there’s a whole lot more in store.
