Everybody Get Up Tour w/ Fred Hammond and UT

Dates have been announced for the Everybody Get Up Tour featuring Fred Hammond and the United Tenors (UT).  The tour according to HamUnited Tenors Tourmond is simply another opportunity to celebrate Christ and the evening will be filled with Fred Hammond classics as well as new music from UT.  The tour kicks off this Friday and visits a dozen cities before winding down in St Louis at the end of October.

Fred Hammond Readies Theatrical Debut

Cain and AbelWhile keeping up with a hectic concert schedule and preparing for the Everybody Get Up Worship Tour featuring supergroup United Tenors in the fall, Fred Hammond is getting in gear for the theatrical debut of JD Lawrence’s Cain & Able. Described as a suspenseful dramedy, Hammond and Lawrence are cast as two estranged brothers each inheriting half of their father’s wealthy estate with a contingency that they spend the weekend together at the family compound .  In addition to acting, Hammond serves as a producer as well as contributes to music and lyrics.  Cain & Able is scheduled to run during the month of August at Manhattan’s 777 theater.

Michael Bethany Is London Bound

It is highly likely that bethany 2in his sleep,  Michael Bethany is singing “I keep so busy working for my Jesus” these days.  In the  first part of 2013, we have witnessed him making waves at the Stellars, co writing Here In Our Praise,  the lead single from the chart topping Fred Hammond and United Tenors project  and leading worship on TBN.  Adding to his “carry the gospel everywhere” list, Bethany travels to London England for the Mighty Men of Valor  Men of Worship Concert during the latter part of April.

 

Fred Hammond’s United Tenors Debut #1

Fred Hammond’s 13th CD, “United Tenors” featuring himself, Dave Hollister, Eric Roberson, Brian Courtney Wilson, debut at #1 on the Billboard Gospel Charts. This CD marks Fred Hammond’s 7th album to debut at #1 on the charts. The United Tenors have wrapped up a successful promotional tour with stops in major cities such as Atlanta, Richmond, and Washington, DC. The leading single, “Here In Our Praise” has become the most added Gospel song to radio. When asked about how he assembled the group, Fred states, “I wanted to work with men who would work well together and complement each other.  Personally, I have to put Fred Hammond’s solo career and solo personae on hold for the sake of making this group successful.  This is a bigger cause, so I have to step back now and sing background…and I’m happy to do it. And these guys feel the same way…they play their parts. There are no egos.” The United Tenors album is available in stores and all digital media outlets.

United Tenors Releases Single Here In Our Praise

Throughout the moUnited Tenorsnth of January, Fred Hammond kept us glued to his social cam posts as he gave regular updates on the happenings of his new group.  Well, the wait is finally over as February delivers an official single from the much anticipated pairing of Fred Hammond, David Hollister, Brian Courtney Wilson and Eric Roberson known collectively as United Tenors (UT) released today.

Fred Hammond took to Twitter this morning to share news of the imminent release of a radio single from his United Tenors group.  United Tenors pairs Hammond with Brian Courtney Wilson, Eric Roberson and Dave Hollister. United Tenors is one of the most anticipated releases of 2013 and Hammond sums up the collaboration simply as this: “We are not here to change the game or outshine anyone, we are some brothers coming together in UNITY (Psalm 133:1) to praise, worship and glorify our Lord.

 

 

 

Birthdays,Weddings,Fred Hammond Update and Mali Music News

Gospelflava sends “Birthday Shout Outs” to Take 6’s Alvin “Vinnie” Chea (November 2) , Brian Courtney Wilson (November 1) and Bryan Wilson (November 3) as well as congratulations to Meghan Williams who tied the knot back in October.

Fred Hammond announced on Thursday via social cam alongside David Hollister that his new group United Tenors will not include  Brian Courtney Wilson due to contractual obligations.  United Tenors will have a single out in December and the full project is scheduled to be released in March, 2013.

Mali Music also announced via Twitter news of a new single to be released at the top of the year and a new album to be released in the first  quarter of 2013.  Mali Music is currently featured on  I Shall Live from the CD Impact by Canada’s premier Gospel group,  Sharon Riley and Faith Chorale.
