The multiple award winning acapella group Take 6 celebrates 25 years of recording and performing with a world tour beginning May 7th in New York. The year long tour will include concert performances in the US as well as overseas including Germany, England, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Japan, Australia, Norway, eastern Europe and South America.
Their self titled debut CD, released in 1988 won 2 Grammy awards and landed on Billboard’s Jazz, Contemporary Christian and Gospel charts. With 15 albums to their credit, the group comprised of Claude McKnight, Mark Kibble, Joel Kibble, Dave Thomas, Alvin Chea and Khristian Dentley have garnered a total of 10 Grammy Awards, 10 Dove Awards, a Soul Train Award, and 2 NAACP Image Awards
